This review was prepared to provide an evidence base to inform future non-statutory guidance on emerging techniques on hydrogen production for gasification, pyrolysis and other emerging technologies.

This was intended for UK environmental regulators, industry and stakeholders to support environmental permitting of these techniques.

This review is not guidance. We may update it as further evidence emerges and before developing any future guidance on emerging techniques.
