This report provides information on the analytical results of the Health Assessments Channel Trial, an evaluation in 2022 to 2023 to determine whether assessment channel affected outcomes for Work Capability Assessments and Personal Independence Payment assessments.
We have also published Work Capability Assessment decision-based mode of assessment statistics and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) decision-based mode of assessment statistics for April 2019 to March 2026 which provide information on the mode of assessment, the benefit decisions taken following the assessments, and the age, gender and primary medical condition of the claimants undertaking the assessments.
