Details

This publication provides information on the mode of assessment used to conduct health assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the benefit decisions taken following the assessments, and the age, gender and primary medical condition of the claimants undertaking the assessments.    

We have also published Work Capability Assessment decision-based mode of assessment statistics for April 2019 to March 2026.

We have also published a report providing information on the analytical results of the Health Assessments Channel Trial, an evaluation conducted in 2022 to 2023 to determine whether assessment channel affected outcomes for Personal Independence Payment assessments and Work Capability Assessments .
