This Work and Opportunities for Women (WOW) programme report brings together research projects that WOW supported during 2022, in partnership with Waitrose, Primark and the Ethical Tea Partnership.

The report explores how climate change is increasing barriers to women’s economic empowerment amongst workers and farmers in Kenya, Pakistan and Malawi. It outlines opportunities for women to be economically empowered while addressing climate change issues, including case studies that illustrate how to integrate gender and climate change. It also makes recommendations for how businesses can develop climate-smart and gender-just approaches in their supply chains.
