The FleX competition supported the development and demonstration of innovative energy flexibility exchange solutions.

Details
The first winning projects have been selected for funding totalling more than £2.1 million. The projects are expected to be operational by March 2021 with final trials and reporting to be completed by December 2021.
The competition looked for innovative and replicable flexibility exchange solutions. Flexibility exchanges are marketplaces for energy system flexibility assets, offered by multiple providers (sellers) of flexibility to multiple buyers.
The FleX competition is closed for new applications. Details of the competition’s aims and objectives can be found in the competition guidance.
