This guidance is for businesses that publish reviews or information about reviews. It’s to help you meet your legal obligations and understand what is prohibited by law.

The summary addresses some questions businesses asked us during the consultation on unfair commercial practices.

In September 2025, the CMA held a webinar to help businesses who publish customer reviews understand what steps they should take to comply with legislative changes introduced in April 2025.
