This letter, dated 17 October 2012, announces the Secretary of State for Transport’s decision on the Chiltern Railways (Bicester to Oxford improvements) order. The Secretary of State has decided to make the order, with modifications, and direct that planning permission is granted.
The order authorises Chiltern Railway Company Limited to carry out works between Oxford and Bicester and construct a new length of railway connecting the Oxford to Bicester line with the Bicester to London line.
The letter must be read in conjunction with the 15 November 2011 initial views letter and the 24 January 2012 decision letter as the 3 letters, taken together, convey the full reasons for the Secretary of State’s decisions.
