This letter outlines the Secretary of State for Transport’s decision about the proposed Network Rail (Blackthorn and Piddington) (Land Acquisition) Order.

The order would authorise Network Rail to:

  • acquire compulsorily land and rights over land
  • temporarily use land

in connection with work to stabilise railway embankments at Blackthorn, Oxfordshire and Piddington, Buckinghamshire.

This letter responds to an inspector’s report on the order.
