Details

The first Taking Part user event was held on 19 August 2010.

The event, attended by many people, encouraged a lot of discussion about the future of the Taking Part survey.

Taking Part is the key evidence source for DCMS and was commissioned primarily to provide a single evidence source on participation in culture and sport.

The survey is currently used to measure and inform departmental indicators, inform the development and impact of DCMS policy, and to understand the drivers and barriers of participation in cultural and sporting activities.
