A Downing Street spokesperson said:

The Prime Minister spoke to Prime Minister Renzi of Italy this afternoon about the situation in Ukraine. They agreed on the importance of the EU and US sending a clear and united message to President Putin that the Minsk agreements must be implemented in full. They also agreed on the need to bolster the capacity of the OSCE monitoring mission to ensure that it could properly monitor implementation on the ground.

They also discussed the situation in Libya. Both are concerned about the deteriorating situation on the ground and they agreed that the international community must redouble efforts to help bring about a national unity government. Both leaders agreed that the best way forward was through backing the UN-led talks process while working closely with partners in the region, particularly Libya’s neighbours.
