British Ambassador to Bulgaria
We maintain and develop relations between the UK and Bulgaria. The British Embassy in Sofia provides services to British nationals living in and visiting Bulgaria.
Our work covers a range of issues including the economy, energy policy, justice and home affairs and international security.
We have built a joint action plan to bring about growth in both countries and enhance the competitiveness. We work with the Bulgarian authorities to minimise harm to the UK from organized crime and to assist British nationals in Bulgaria.
If you’re in Bulgaria and you need urgent help (for example, you’ve been attacked, arrested or someone has died), call (+359) 2 933 9222. If you’re in the UK and worried about a British national in Bulgaria, call 020 7008 1500.
