We maintain and develop relations between the UK and Serbia. The British Embassy in Belgrade provides services to British nationals living in and visiting Serbia.

Our work covers a range of issues including political reforms, trade and investment and the fight against organised crime.

The UK’s main aims in Serbia are to support the implementation of political, economic and social reforms, to encourage a positive role for Serbia in the region, and to help encourage peace, security, reconciliation and prosperity in the Western Balkans.

We work with our Serbian partners to improve the rule of law, and to develop a more competitive and investment-friendly environment.

We work with Serbia’s armed forces to share expertise, develop stronger ties, and encourage peace and security in Serbia and the wider region. Our police co-operation work, including through EU Twinning projects, is helping Serbia to combat serious and organised crime.

You can access UK government services while in Serbia.
