Set up a Direct Debit payment with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Start now on the HMRC website
Before you start
Pay your tax bill by Direct Debit if you have an online account with HMRC for:
- Self Assessment
- employers’ PAYE and National Insurance
- Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions
- Corporation Tax
- Machine Games Duty
You can also make ‘miscellaneous’ payments (with a payment reference beginning with ‘X’) if you have an online account with HMRC for one of these taxes.
You must be the authorised signatory on the account you want to make payments from. It must be a UK bank account.
You can also change an existing Direct Debit or arrange a new one. (However, you can’t make changes to a VAT Direct Debit.)
