Find private rental properties that are registered as exempt from the minimum standard of energy efficiency.

Use this service to search for exemptions and penalties related to the private rented sector Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES).
Private rented sector properties that require an energy performance certificate (EPC) must have either:
- an EPC rating of E or above
- a valid exemption
Search the register
Search for properties that have:
- registered exemptions
- been issued penalties for failing to comply with these standards
You can search by postcode, street name and town, the landlord’s name or exemption/penalty type.
The register shows when the property was registered as exempt and the reason.
