APHA animal disease alert subscription service

Sign up to receive the latest news specific to exotic notifiable animal disease outbreaks in Great Britain

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) provide a subscription service which notifies subscribers when there is an exotic notifiable animal disease outbreak in Great Britain.

APHA are using a new service for sending disease alerts.

How to subscribe for disease alerts

To subscribe for disease alerts via email or SMS, email the following information to the APHA Instant mailbox instant@apha.gov.uk

Country which you require alerts for:

  • England
  • Scotland
  • Wales

Exotic notifiable animal disease which you require alerts for:

  • Foot and Mouth disease
  • Bluetongue
  • Avian influenza
  • Newcastle disease
  • Classical swine fever
  • Horse/Equine diseases

For email alerts, include the email address that you wish alerts to be sent to.

For SMS alerts, include the mobile phone number that you wish alerts to be sent to.

What to do if you have already subscribed

If you currently receive disease alerts then you do not need to resubscribe to the new service.

How to unsubscribe from receiving disease alerts

If you have already subscribed to this service from APHA and no longer wish to receive these disease alerts, email the APHA Instant mailbox instant@apha.gov.uk.
