The latest release of these statistics can be found in the Child maintenance arrangements made after speaking to CM Options statistics collection.

This publication provides data on the child maintenance arrangements made by separated parents after speaking to the CM Options service.

We asked parents about their child maintenance arrangements and whether they were made after contacting CM Options. We also asked parents if they thought their arrangements were working well.

Parents who contacted CM Options between February 2017 and January 2018 were surveyed at least 2 months after they called. Some of these parents were surveyed again in March 2018 to see if their arrangements had changed.

Read our background information and methodology document for more information about these statistics.

The next release of these statistics will be in 2019.

  1. Published a revised version of the statistics after issues were identified with the original publication. The publication contained incorrect table references and incorrectly weighted figures for some of the latest quarter’s data. These errors have now been corrected and DWP has strengthened its quality assurance processes to ensure errors like this are avoided in future.
