Details
The “World Heritage for the Nation: Identifying, Protecting and Promoting Our World Heritage” paper set out proposals for the future identification, protection and management of World Heritage Sites and asked for views on two key questions: which options we should adopt for future nomination of sites for World Heritage status; and what further measures should be considered to improve the management and promotion of our World Heritage Sites.
This document provides a summary of the responses to the public consultation and the Government’s response to the various points made in relation to how we manage World Heritage Sites in the UK. Having considered all this information, the Government has now decided to proceed to draw up a new UK Tentative List.
