Details

It is an offence under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations (VMR) for any person to buy a Veterinary Medicinal Product (VMP) other than by retail, or for the purposes of retail supply, unless that person has a Wholesale Dealers’ Authorisation (WDA).

Wholesale dealing means the procurement, holding, storage or distribution (whether or not for profit) of a to retailers or other wholesale dealers.

This also applies to the import of unauthorised veterinary medicines for export.
