From 1 January 2021, the Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 may apply.

This guidance explains how existing product safety and metrology legislation would be amended. It describes:

  • the general principles of the changes
  • steps that businesses need to take to prepare
  • the individual changes to 29 regulations

It does not cover legislation that is the responsibility of the Health and Safety Executive or the Northern Ireland Office.
