This is one of a series of guidance notes on the strategic outcomes of the UK national action plan on women, peace and security (2018 to 2022) to support implementing policy and programme interventions in each area.
In Strategic Outcome 4 (humanitarian response) the UK government commits to protect and empower girls and women in conflict, protracted crises and humanitarian emergencies to rebuild their lives and societies. We also commit to consider and address women’s and girls’ needs in all phases and sectors of humanitarian response, and promote women’s meaningful participation and leadership.
