This document describes how we are responding to recommendations made in the Eddington study to improve transport’s contribution to economic growth and recommendations made by the Stern review around reducing carbon emissions.

It also:

  • sets out DfT’s policy and investment plans for 2013 to 2014
  • proposes an approach to longer-term transport strategy, building on Sir Rod Eddington’s recommendations and explains how we will engage with passengers, users and the transport industry
