New regulations on prescribed street works qualifications come into force in England on 6 April 2017.
The street works qualifications system is being simplified and the regulations will introduce greater flexibility for operatives and supervisors when they renew their qualifications. It will also become easier for them to ensure their qualifications are kept up to date.
The guidance explains how the changes will affect existing street works qualifications card holders. Existing qualifications will not be affected - they will remain valid until their normal expiry date.
