This guidance provides information and outlines the written examination syllabuses for Merchant Navy Second Engineers (III/2), leading to the issue of a UK Certificate of Competency.
This is guidance to all Owners, Masters, Officers, Ratings and those concerned with maritime training. This guidance should be read with with MSN 1857 - Amendment 1 and replaces the syllabuses published on UK seafarer careers: Training provision, information and examination syllabuses. This replacement has been made for formatting and accessibility purposes only, no content has been amended during this move.
