This report describes:

  • the routine work the quality assurance teams will do to measure quality in NHS screening programmes
  • the reports the teams will produce over 2014 to 2015 which are focused on lessons learnt from QA
  • the development work we will do over the next year to improve QA for the NHS screening programmes
  • some of the work we are doing to improve the governance of QA in screening programmes

These programmes apply to antenatal, newborn, diabetic eye (DES) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening.
