'Ofqual Explains' video series launched on YouTube
The launch sees the publication of the first five episodes of 'Ofqual Explains', a new video series about our regulatory framework.

This series of videos has been created in response to feedback that awarding organisations would welcome information in audio-visual form. We hope they will be useful to:
- newly recognised awarding organisations
- existing awarding organisations (to train new starters, or provide a refresher for staff)
- other stakeholders who may be interested in understanding our regulatory framework.
The videos are designed to aid understanding and awareness of our rules and guidance, but do not form part of our statutory regulatory framework.
They may also help applicant organisations understand the rules they would be subject to if they were recognised. For more information about applying for recognition, please watch the video ‘Becoming Recognised’ on our Youtube channel.
These initial episodes cover the rules we set, guidance we publish, language we use, and different strengths of obligation contained within our rules.
