Details

NbS for water resources work with natural processes to improve water resources, reduce flooding and support the environment.

This guidance explains:

  • different types of NbS and how they can be used for water resources benefits
  • how you can plan the implementation of NbS for water resources
  • how to select the right NbS measures for the right locations
  • how you can select and appraise design options
  • how to approach construction of NbS and the role of the principal contractor in this
  • how to monitor and maintain your NbS and how to use monitoring to work out whether maintenance or adaptive management are needed

This guidance is to help:
