This document sets out detailed waste planning policies. It should be read in conjunction with the National Planning Policy Framework, the National Waste Management Plan for England and national policy statements for waste water and hazardous waste, or any successor documents.

All local planning authorities should have regard to its policies when discharging their responsibilities to the extent that they are appropriate to waste management.
