Details

The national metrology projects of LWMAs add value to inspection work carried out by individual trading standards services as part of their local responsibility. The work, which is undertaken across the UK, is focused on a particular subject and nationally collated.

Current projects

Verification activity project

Following the results of the requested projects published in the section 70 report for 2013 to 2014 and analysis of concerns raised through Regulatory Delivery and the Local Government Metrology Expert Panel, RD chose a project for 2015 to 2016 to look at competency of verifiers (approved verifiers and approved manufacturers) within the fuel dispenser, weighbridge and bulk fuel industries. RD will co-ordinate the project and publish the results. Due to the large scope of this project and associated training schedule this project will now run over two years, from April 2015 to March 2017. To participate in a current project contact:
