Details

In many instances the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is asked for an opinion on particular circumstances that have an impact on a wider group of organisations or equipment. Where it is necessary to communicate that opinion to the enforcement services in general, OPSS uses the Weights and Measures bulletin. Documents are controlled through version numbers and issue dates and only the current version is shown.

  1. Addition of a new Weights and Measures Bulletin: Non-automatic weighing machines and printed receipts in retail

  2. Weights and Measures Bulletin WM 1007 has been added. This bulletin has been published by OPSS in response to the question of whether a factory conformity assessed fuel dispenser system requires re-verification when it is installed on a retail site and connected to an EPoS device.

  3. Weights and Measures bulletin WM1006 has been added: Guidance on the retrofitting of Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), devices on nationally approved fuel dispensers.
