This notice should be read in conjunction with MGN 532 (M) (Corrigendum) safe movement on board ship and the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Health and Safety at Work) Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997/2967).

The Merchant Shipping (Safe Movement on Board Ship) Regulations 1988 have been revoked, and this notice replaces the statutory duties in those Regulations.
