LRS web service certificate renewal

Updated 4 August 2021

Applies to England, Northern Ireland and Wales

The current set of LRS web service certificates expire on 23 January 2021 and new certificates are now available for collection.

If you have not already installed the new certificate, you will need to take action. Failure to collect and activate the new web service certificate will result in your organisation being unable to access the LRS from your external MI system. As such, you won’t be able to acquire or maintain ULN’s or upload qualifications.

Super users are now able to download the new certificate from within the LRS portal. The super user will need to take the following steps:

  1. Log onto LRS
  2. Ensure your email address has been validated
  3. As a super user, you will see the menu option “Web services”
  4. Click on “Certificate Management”
  5. Download the certificate
  6. The password will be emailed to your email address
  7. Install the certificate – you may need to contact your IT team or supplier for assistance

If your organisation currently does not have a super user and you use webservices, please complete and return a ‘Change of super’ user form, so that a new super user can be assigned.
