Adult Social Care International Recruitment regional fund 2022 to 2023: GD31/6549

The Minister of State for Care and Mental Health (‘the Minister of State’), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003, makes the following determination:

Citation

1) This determination may be cited as the Adult Social Care International Recruitment regional fund GD31/6549.

Purpose of the grant

2) The purpose of these grants is to provide support to local authorities in England towards expenditure lawfully incurred or to be incurred by them in funding adult social care. These grants cover regional solutions to improve international recruitment in adult social care.

3) The Adult Social Care international recruitment regional grant is worth £1,667,076.10 in 2023.

4) Further funding of up to £15 million will be awarded in 2023 to 2024.

5) This fund is being established to enable a support offer to be set up at regional or sub-regional level which can be made available to all providers within the area.

Determination

6) The Minister of State determines as the authorities to which the grant is to be paid and the amount of grant to be paid, the authorities and the amounts set out in Annex B.

7) Before making this determination in relation to local authorities in England, the Minister of State obtained the consent of HM Treasury.
