This guidance for civil servants explains how to remain impartial during the pre-election period.

Details
This guidance takes effect at the dissolution of Parliament on 30 March 2015. It applies to all UK civil servants, and the board members and staff of Non-Departmental Public Bodies and other arms length bodies.
The principles underlying the conduct of civil servants in a general election are an extension of those which apply at all times, as set out in the Civil Service Code.
