Details

The Governor’s Office is committed to openness, transparency and the public interest in compliance with both the UK’s Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Cayman Islands Freedom of Information Law 2007.

The Governor’s Office holds two separate sets of records, each dealt with differently:

  1. UK government documents covered by the UK’s Freedom of Information Act 2000. Requests for the release of these records should be made to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office here.

  2. Cayman Islands government documents covered by the Cayman Islands Freedom of Information Law 2007. Information on how to make a Freedom of Information request can be found here. Applications should be made in writing by email to foi.gov@gov.ky or by letter to Tom Hines, Information Manager, Governor’s Office, Suite 101, Government Administration Building, Grand Cayman KY1-9000. We are happy to answer queries by phone on 244 2434.
