Fox/Sky merger: how to respond to the CMA’s investigation

How and when you can contribute to the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) investigation into Fox’s proposed takeover of Sky.

The CMA has been asked by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to investigate Fox’s proposed takeover of Sky. We’re investigating the impact of the merger on 2 grounds - media plurality in the UK, and a genuine commitment to broadcasting standards.

Our information page provides details on:

  • how a phase 2 merger inquiry works
  • our provisional findings on media plurality and broadcasting standards
  • possible remedies based on our provisional findings

We’ll indicate on the page above the current stage of the investigation and whether we are open for submissions. Further information can be found on the Fox/Sky merger investigation case page.
