File a second filing of a document previously delivered (RP04)

In very limited cases, you can file a second filing to correct a minor error in a document that was otherwise properly delivered to Companies House.

Details

You can only use this form in very limited cases.

In most cases, you’ll need to file a replacement document (form RP01) to correct information on the register. See Correcting your date of birth with Companies House.

You can only submit a second filing (form RP04) to correct a very minor error, such as a person’s service address given as ‘23 Station Roaad’. Because this error is so minor, the original filing is still classed as ‘properly delivered’.

A properly delivered document means it has met all the requirements of the legislation and the registrars’ rules. The legislation sets out what information or content a document should contain. The registrar’s rules set out the form of the document, including authentication and how it must be delivered.

For more guidance on how we can amend or annotate the Companies House register, read Registrar of Companies: rules and powers.
