Details

This direction notice requires the council to take steps to improve its children’s social care services. It follows a report by Ofsted which judged the overall effectiveness of children’s services in the London Borough of Bromley to be inadequate.

An independent report by the former Commissioner for Children’s Services in Bromley has recommended that progress in children’s services should be monitored by a commissioner, and a review of progress should take place in 6 months’ time.

The direction replaces the earlier statutory direction issued to the council in June 2016.
