Bromley children's services: report to the Secretary of State

Reports into children’s services in Bromley by Frankie Sulke CBE, the former Children’s Services Commissioner.

An independent report and 6-month progress review by Frankie Sulke CBE, former Commissioner for Children’s Services in Bromley, to the Secretary of State for Education.

The reports follow an Ofsted report published in June 2016, which judged the overall effectiveness of Bromley’s children’s social care services as inadequate.

The commissioner’s 6-month progress review recommends that the council should be allowed to retain control of the delivery of its children’s social care services.

DfE issued a revised statutory direction to Bromley in September 2017.
