Only farmed salmon and sea trout, and wild fish caught in legal net and trap fisheries, can be legally bought and sold in England.

     Updated with a new photograph showing the current 2023 tag. Amended to reflect changes in the salmon catch regulation, that is, all wild caught salmon in England must be returned and not sold.
