This report presents the findings from the fourth autism self-assessment exercise carried out by local authorities (LAs) between July and November 2016. It shows the LAs’ progress towards meeting the requirements of the Autism Act.

For older reports and other resources see the archived Learning Disability Observatory’s Improving Health and Lives (IHAL) website.

The spreadsheet shows responses for the 145 out of a possible 152 local authorities on the self-assessment questionnaire, for additional analysis.

View slide presentations on the 2016 autism self-assessment responses by the local authorities in each of the former Government Office Regions in England:

The slides and spreadsheet should be used in conjunction with the main report which contains the full questions and instructions for responding.
