Since 28 August 2018, eligible EU citizens have been able to apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) in the UK. This is also known as ‘settled status’ under the EU Settlement Scheme.

This guidance includes information about:

  • establishing British identity
  • what you need to show settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme
  • what documents you need to send
