Apply for administrative restoration to the register (RT01)
Use this form to apply to restore a company to the Companies House register.
Documents
Details
It costs £468 to apply. We’ll reject your application if you do not include the correct fee.
You can only apply for administrative restoration if:
- you were a director or shareholder of the company
- the company was struck off the register and dissolved by the Registrar of Companies within the last 6 years
- the company was trading at the time it was dissolved
You’ll need to get a court order to restore the company if the directors applied for voluntary strike off.
How to apply
You’ll need to include:
- your completed RT01 form
- all outstanding company documents, including fees - for example, accounts or confirmation statements that should have been filed when the company was dissolved
- all outstanding late filing penalties for accounts - contact Companies House if you need to find out what penalties are due
- a bona vacantia waiver letter - contact the Bona Vacantia Division
The former director or shareholder is responsible for providing the bona vacantia waiver letter. This costs £64.
You must post all this information to Companies House main office. We’ll reject your application if you do not include all information.
