You can apply to be certified as a compartment if you have a poultry farm in England, Scotland or Wales. You must be producing high-value breeding stock (birds selected for breeding rather than for the food chain) of the main commercial poultry species - chickens, turkeys and ducks.
The scheme has standards so your flock farm or hatchery can be certified as having enhanced protection against bird flu (avian influenza) and Newcastle disease.
