Details

This is the certificate that some farmers need to send to the Rural Payments Agency, to prove they qualify for the Basic Payment Scheme as an active farmer, through the ‘readmission criteria’.

There is also the latest guidance for accountants about how to fill in the form, which includes an annexe that sets out some of the processes they need to follow.

Farmers need to take the form, the guidance and any relevant financial documents to their accountant.

From 2016, the Rural Payments Agency will accept forms from accountants who are members of AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or another equivalent accountancy institute or association which is a member of IFAC.

For more information about the ‘active farmer rule’, read the latest Basic Payment Scheme rules.
