Jennifer MacNaughtan
Biography
Jennifer MacNaughtan was Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy Warsaw from July 2022 to June 2025.
Previously, she was Head of Diplomatic Strategy in the Department for Exiting the European Union and then the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, leading Her Majesty’s Government’s engagement on European Union Exit and on future relationship negotiations.
Jennifer joined the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in 2007. During her FCDO career, she worked on a wide range of issues: the European Union, COVID-19 response, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the United Nations, sanctions and human rights, and was posted to the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Jennifer studied French and European politics at the University of Leeds and the College of Europe in Bruges. She worked in Brussels before joining the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and speaks Polish, French and Spanish.
