Doing business with PHE

How to find PHE contract opportunities:

Contracts Finder is a free service for businesses which allows you to search for live contract opportunities across the public sector and previously awarded contracts.

Use the Find a Tender service to search and apply for high value contracts (usually above £118,000) in the UK’s public and utilities sectors.

Register with our eCommercial system to:

  • view current opportunities with PHE and some other health bodies
  • register and express an interest in a procurement opportunity
  • bid for contracts

Offering coronavirus (COVID-19) support from your business

If you think your business might be able to help with the response to coronavirus, you can offer support from your business. You’ll be asked some questions about the type of support you can give. You’ll then be contacted as soon as possible if your support is needed.

Opportunities for small businesses

PHE welcomes bids from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The government has published advice for small businesses on bidding for contracts.

Paying our suppliers

We aim to pay invoices promptly and expect our suppliers to pay their sub-contractors within 30 days.

Suppliers need to quote the PHE purchase order on their invoices.

Ethical procurement

When awarding contracts, we look at the impact on society so that we comply with the Social Value Act and government policy on environmental sustainability.

We expect our suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and pay their employees a fair wage.

We will work with contracted suppliers to achieve our ethical procurement objectives.

Code of conduct

Businesses and PHE will need to follow PHE’s supplier charter alongside the government’s supplier code of conduct.
