Minister for Africa condemns abductions in Nigeria

James Duddridge condemns abduction of over 100 people in Nigeria and pledges continued UK support in fight against Boko Haram.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Commenting on the reports, Minister for Africa James Duddridge said:

I am appalled to see reports of another large abduction by terrorists in the north east of Nigeria. Officials at the British High Commission in Abuja are urgently looking into the details. The UK stands firmly with Nigeria as it faces the scourge of Boko Haram.
