Foreign Office Minister welcomes conflict prevention efforts between Thailand & Cambodia

Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne welcomed the agreement between Thailand and Cambodia to allow impartial observers access to the border.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Speaking after the announcement, the Foreign Office Minister said:

“I welcome the agreement Thailand and Cambodia have reached to allow impartial observers access to the border area. I welcome the conflict prevention efforts of the Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) and Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa. I hope both parties will take positive steps towards confidence building, military de-escalation, and resumption of discussions on a resolution to all outstanding border issues.”
