Financial support for Yemen

To date, the Friends of Yemen have provided a total of $7.8bn to support the Yemeni transition process and tackle the humanitarian crisis.

At last September’s ministerial meeting in New York members of the Friends of Yemen provided a total of $7.8bn to support the Yemeni transition process and tackle the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The UK has committed £196million over the next three years (2012-15) for Yemen. In 2012-13, £33m is being spent on UK aid to support Yemenis with food, water, health care and other life saving assistance.

The Friends of Yemen continue to urge other states to respond to the UN Humanitarian Appeal for Yemen which is still only half funded.
