Friends of Yemen, 7 March 2013

The Governments of the UK, Saudi Arabia and Yemen will co-chair the Friends of Yemen Ministerial meeting in London on 7 March. The meeting is an opportunity to keep Yemen on the international agenda, assess progress on political transition and follow up the commitments made by the international community in 2012 to provide financial assistance and other support to Yemen. There are three priorities for the London Friends of Yemen meeting: progress on the National Dialogue Conference, preparations for elections in 2014, and turning the $7.8billion promised by Friends in 2012 into real action that will benefit the lives of ordinary Yemenis.
